Free Step Stool!

I am involved in a parent group in Humboldt County called North Coast Parents. We recently had a rummage sale and I received this step stool for free. I immediately saw it's potential and the height was perfect for helping my kids reach the bathroom sink to brush their teeth and wash their hands...on their own! It was pretty dirty and covered in stickers (as you can see). I didn't think to take a picture until I had started removing them, but I think you can get the idea.

I walk a fine line between being crafty and being cheap, so I only wanted to use what I had on hand. After getting all the stickers (and their goop) off, I primed it and painted it with the white paint that covers most of the walls in our house. Then I painted the accents with the same color as our living room walls.

Completely free and (now) a totally cute addition to our bathroom!

Diapers

I just handed off 12 diapers to a mama-to-be. When you spend that much time with some fabric, thread and snaps it's hard not to get attached. I send them away to bless a family and new baby with the hope that they enjoy them and get as much use out of them as possible.

Bunk Beds

After much debate about the design, Luke jumped right into making the bunk beds for the kids. We needed to move them into one room so that there would be room for the baby.

How fitting that he was wearing his #1 Dad shirt when he started making the bunk beds!

Olivia lending a hand and being safe about it, too!

Walter coming through to make sure the mess doesn't get out of hand.

Checking for durability or taking a break?

Almost ready!

Seems sturdy enough!

SUCCESS!!!
